Any Experts on the late 80s / Early 90's Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) Series?

I am thinking of creating and running a late 80's and early 90's (hopefully Co-running) DTM series that would consist of the following cars at least from my preliminary looks. If there's somebody who considers themselves an expert on this series and would like to get involved even if just from a resource to me standpoint I would appreciate it greatly.

the majority of the field should be in these cars

This is just thinking for WAY down the road, possibly a few months time. I'd like to find out a couple things

1) has this been done already
2) who did it so I can ask about it and find out how it went
3) who is interested in this type of series?
4) who would like to help and if you have a lot of time help co-manage

This would be a no race spoiler series and a lot of work would go into making the cars as close to spec as possible.

I would run in it. I have not seen 1 with those cars sir

I will tell you right now, this would use some of the coolest and most under-utilized tracks in the game such as the Hockenheim short and National tracks, I've been driving those for the past hour and they're fun as shit.

This thing would have ugly paints, great tracks, and a heavy dose of counter steering, who the hell doesn't like that shit?

I have done the newer DTM series. I can do some research and help you out if you need it. I do like those smaller tracks. They are fun as hell.

Now these were designed for the newer cars, faster and more stable, but the smaller versions would work better for the early ones. Also I have info posted in the Series in the Making section about a current car DTM series. Had race line up settings and points, etc if you want to take a look. I will do some research, get some telemetry numbers on some early versions and get it all over to you.

For me, this is far enough out that I don't know a day yet. I want to talk to Del about it.

Thanks for that info.... Infineon is the only one that doesn't fit to me, not a european feel at all lol...

I am gathering info for you now on some of the cars at that time, their builds, etc... One thing that I suggest is to NOT allow for a Differential change in the build. As much as I have read about these cars, I keep seeing one common thread - people praising diff advancements in the newer generation cars over these... Might make it more realistic. You can fix a lot in a diff.

- BMW M3 must use the BMW Race NON ADJUSTABLE front bumper and rear spoiler

- Toyota Supra must swap engines and use the 3.0 I6T engine (not the I6TT)

I especially appreciate the note on the Lotus Carlton, I was looking through the car list for ages as I knew there was an equivalent but then convinced myself it was in Forza 3, since I haven't been on Forza 4 as much.

I believe I made that spec sheet for Forza 3, but it should carry over for the most part. It's a good starting point anyways.
