got a slight idea

ok soooo seeing that there is a big push about NASCAR (which i am NOT complaining about, as i am a fan as well), my thought is, why not have a NASCAR style league that runs on like saturday afternoons or something? there are 2 stock cars in FM4 (ford and chevy) and there are plenty of NASCAR and NASCAR-esque tracks (Infineon, Indy, Sunset oval). put down some restrictions, and let everyone go at it like they do in NASCAR. basically a "rubbin's racin'" style kind of like what you saw in Days of Thunder (which judging by how many references there are Gamertag-wise in RR, i'd say is very popular around here). i dunno, just a thought, already have both build to a PI 750 spec if someone wants to check it out.

I already have have cars and tracks ready for a NASCAR EuroRacecar Series. Go look at www.NASCAR.com and look up home tracks. It is a NASCAR series set on road courses in Europe. AND THEY BEAT AND BANG WITH NO PENALTY! LOL

not exactly sure what im trying to find there, but i do see what you're talking about with the NASCAR-esque cars on Euro tracks

Umm, The Aussie V8 Supercar Series is what a real stock car/road course series should be, no? I mean, "stock" cars; real drivers; no marketing ploys. That's how Harry and I actually met!

I know, I know...you want NASCAR. I also salivate at anything that mentions F1, so I understand...at least the desire. But to me, NASCAR means ovals in the US. I'd say Bruin's idea is closer to that.

What I would really love is to see a proper NASCAR game come out. I think it was Rowdy who told me that ever since the game was sold to back a few years ago, it had gone to crap. Didn't get exactly why, but I'm sure you know the details Harry.

(Harry, good debate re: NASCAR v. F1 in the other section, I think you have worn me out, and even educated me without changing my mind. Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread. )

not completely true, yes there would be ovals involved, and yes there would be US tracks involved, but i was also thinking places like mugello and silverstone as well, along with possibly Catalunya too

as long as infineon is on that list as well as at least 1 of the Indianapolis tracks (whether it be the brickyard or the infield track) it sounds like you have it all planned out for the most part harry, if you're just looking for a build spec list, list i said, i have both of them set up at 750 PI exactly with the same build on them

Infineon NASCAR and Indy Oval were on there. It was 4 Ovals, 6 Road courses

It is not a series, yet. I cannot send another series in for approval until after ALMS ends, as we can only run two. Then it has to get passed by the owners. We will see what happens.

FSS unfortunately competes at a time that is not good for me, because i work until right about the same time they start racing

Bruin us FSS guys are pretty relaxed on start time ...ask rowdy;) but even if you dont make qual.its not that big of deal i think you would like what we got going on
