'14 was a very frustrating season. Winless with Raven having a cutting out problem above 4000rpms the entire season. Those problems followed me into the 15 season and after throwing everything at the car I, and a few mechanics shops, Jakes motorsports in Bradenton finally figured out that it was a bad o2 sensor that the ECU would not register. With that fixed the first race of the season was a double feature at Three palm Speedway on my birthday none the less. Managed to win both features!
The officials are still contemplating what class my car is going to run in but regardless I'm running somewhere. The track is the old Punta Gorda Speedway now renamed 3 palm speedway where they are holding more drift events than races nowadays. It's a 3/8 mile oval with banking that is not as near as steep as looking at the track lets on. Saturday night shall post results!
Classic rookie mistake. A miscommunication between my team mate and I left he oil cap off the engine right before the 1 1/2 hr endure we ran at palm beach international raceway this past weekend. That being said, as oil sprays out of the motor, down and under the car heading for the tires, it made it very unpredictable on the track. I thought I was due to not liking the new tires. The motor lost enough oil to make a mess and the tires slick, but not enough to damage it thankfully.
Bump drafting at 135mph.. Spinouts. 6 different classes and 40 cars on track at the same time. I'll let the vids speak for themselves. Believe me the feature here was much better than the qualifying race!
Three Palms Speedway Is doing "Fast Fridays" where you pay 20 bucks and you can do what you like on the track, this includes drifting, racing, slalom, the figure 8-ANYTHING! This past Friday was the first day and I was the only one who showed up with a street car, a few racers showed up to practice their cars. As the crowd grows we will get all sorts of cars doing this so stay tuned as I will video the cool ones.
Saturday morning, only 48 degrees outside, we leave the 5 star hotel at the track and unloaded the car, which already had a dead battery. After jumping it a few times we figured out e had a bad alternator. Not a ONE part store in sebring had one either and after over an hrs search we ended up at a local wrecking yard to obtain one. Its a pretty easy switch but we have missed the practice session in the morning and all that's left is a 15 min qualifying race which my team mate had to do. so NO practice time on Saturday. I'm informed that sunday morning at 8am is my first race, a 20 min sprint.
Hello all and thanx for looking. Below are the vids I have talked about being on youtube of my racing and other such shenanigans, please give them some views I know you will enjoy them, especially the crash vids!
