Team JMS RACING - PORSCHE CUP
WEEK 1
Rounds 1&2 - 07/01/13 Sebring full 10 laps and 20 laps pit window(4-16)
Qualifying time - N/A
Lobby - 3
LOBBY THREE - QUALIFYING RESULTS
Lobby 1 Poll - Raceboy77 2:04:018
Race 1 - 4th place
Started at the back of the pack in Lobby 3. Since this was my first race and I didnt know any of the racers I played it safe. There are penalties for bad driving and it is sim damage. Therefore you need to be careful. I ended up following KikRox around the track and finished 4th. I was faster but didn't want to push it too much. FYI the poll time for Lobby 1 was a 2:04:018 and the slowest racer in lobby 1 was 2:06.168.
Race 2 - 3rd Place
Started in 6th place and was able to weave in and out of traffic without touching another car for 20 laps. Dangerclose was in the wrong lobby as he ran away from the pack and never looked back. I was catching oddball7000 as the race ended but ran out of tarmac. After 20 laps you really start putting in some nice laps. I finished 3rd. I am pretty sure I ran a high 2:06 but most of my laps were 2:07s

WEEK 2
Rounds 3-4 14/01/13 Sunset full reverse 15 laps and 30 laps. (5-25)
Qualifying time - 1:31.539 (I rushed the qualifying because I was gone from Friday to Sunday)
Lobby - 3
LOBBY THREE - QUALIFYING RESULTS
Lobby 1 Poll - FMS ZILLA----------1:28:151
Race 1 - 1st place
Starting at the front of the pack was nice. Although I was passed pretty quickly by Racer X. I followed him almost all the way till about lap 11 where we ran into some traffic. Racer X ended up trading paint with Octoberdusk which allowed me to sneak by and claim 1st place.
Race 1 results
Race 2 - 4th Place
Finishing in 1st puts me in the back of the pack for Race 2. There is a mandatory pit for this race so it breaks up the racers. I pitted on lap 15 and was in 4th place most of the race. CMR Sykes was clearly fast and I dont know how he finished so low in race 1. He was gone and not to be caught. Racer X and Chelseanut pitted very late which allowed me to catch them. I was tailgating 2nd place RacerX for about 2 laps and was hoping for a mistake. Well it was me that clipped a wall and pushed me down to 4th place. Not enough time to recover and that is where I finished. I will upload some highlights this weekend. Hot Lap for me was around 1:29.700.

Round 5 21/01/13 Nurburgring GP full 50 laps. pit window(5-45)
Qualifying time - 2:01.539
LOBBY ONE
LOBBY Two
LOBBY Three
Qualifying
I messed up my qualifying a little. I ran a dirty lap of 2:00.454 but could not run a clean lap that fast. Honestly though it would not have moved me anywhere in the polls. This is a tough track with tons of places to make up a lot of time especially the first 4 turns. There is alot of different lines you can take and of course your tune has to be almost perfect. There is a lot of bumps in the course that can send some of the rear wheels off the pavement and cause major traction problems.
The Race - 5th Place
I started in 6th place on the grid and was able to hold the position for a while. I was following Racer and Chelseanut for a while but Racer went off the tarmac and I passed him. I was gaining on Chelseanut for a bit he was very consistent on this track and I went off on the first chicane which gave him a 800-1000ft lead that he never let go of. Racer was about 500-600 behind me for quite a while but then i pitted on lap 25. Racer waited to pit till lap 45 but he didnt have a big enough lead. I passed him in the pits on lap 45 and held my 5th place position. I was happy with the results as I did not touch another car aside from a brush in lap one (no damage). 50 laps is a long race and the longest I have ever been apart of. I was pretty tired and banged up for 3 days of exercise and I had a tough time sitting that long and sitting still for that matter. Anyway I was glad to race with some faster guys. Next week is Road Atlanta full!

Rounds 6 & 7 28/01/13 Road Atlanta full 12 laps and 24 laps
LOBBY 1
LOBBY 2
Qualifying
I went into qualifying confident I was going to run a 1:22.XXX. Well after pushing hard for 4 laps I could not get down to that time and getting the dreaded "dirty" lap. On lap 6 (last lap) I played it safe and just made sure to hit every line and keep the tyres from yelling at me. I pulled a 1:23.539 which would throw me in the middle of lobby 2 as expected. See below for the Lap.

Race 1 - Road Atlanta - 12 laps Starting position 5th place - Finish 4th Place - Hot Lap of 1:22.960
The field spread out pretty quickly and I stayed in my starting position of 5th place for most of the race. I caught up to Chelsea and thought that I was the faster car but was too much of a pussy to pull a pass move. I should have grabbed him on the long straight as I noticed he was braking much earlier than me but again...pussy. Well following Chelsea allowed Soul Harvest to catch up and show me how to pass on the straight and I fell to 6th place on lap 11. O'well I figured as that is what you get for not making a move. Well on lap 12/12 turning into the long straight Soul bumped Chelsea's back bumper and slowed the both down just enough for me to sneak by and finish in 4th place. Lucky stars!

Race 2 - Road Atlanta - 24 laps - 3rd Place - Hot Lap of 1:22.763
The first lap of Race 2 was quite scary. See below.

Escaping lap 1 in 5th place with out a scratch is a victory in the JMS corner. By lap 3 I found my self in 2nd place...WOW! Getting excited but it is way too early. Roscoe went off the road and I managed to pass Chelsea and Racer (who were getting into it btw..hehe) on the same spot as last race.
See below

Now in 2nd place and plenty of room I stayed for a while. A lot of pitting happened on lap 5 except for Soul Harvest. He kept his 1st place and never let it go. As the race grew older I had some sloppy laps and some good ones. Right before my pit on lap 12 Roscoe caught up and passed me putting me in 3rd going into the pits and going out in 3rd but coming out of the pits put OddBall on my tail. I slowed him down for about a half a lap but he was clearly faster and eventually made an easy pass when I took a turn too wide. This moves me down to 4th place on lap 13 with about a 700ft lead on Racer. I increased that lead to about 1800 ft by lap 19. On lap 19 Oddball hit a curb too hard and blew out his right front tire and his race was over (lagged out). Which put me comfortably in 3rd place and that is where I finished. I was shooting for 4th place and that is where I should have finished. Road Atlanta was very nice to me. It just goes to show that you never stop racing as hard as possible because anything can happen ahead of you. Great races!

Great driving in the first video of lap 2 keeping it out of trouble a lot of people don't practice looking left to gauge where other drivers are and such good work.

No...but I think that what makes twitch a free service. Youtube I make money off original content (2 racquetball videos). I can't monetize video game footage.

Qualifying
Qualifying for this race was tough as I was noticing that lobby 1 was running 2:06s and I was struggling to get into 2:09. I should have practiced more because during the races I proved I can run 2:08s all day. Hellisan qualified me and I thank you. Video coming soon.

Race 1 - Road America - 10 laps Starting position 4th place - Finish 7th Place - Hot Lap of 2:12.326
Starting out in the middle of the pack is just freighting for me. 2 cars passed me as I was playing it too safe but then it spread out enough going into the 2nd long straight. I was trying to keep my distance from AFS in front of me because I do not know where the braking will begin. Well I guess I did not keep enough distance as I slammed/clipped him and screwed up my race. He sustained some damage but nothing mechanical. My apologies as that is an amateur mistake. See video
I had to pit and that basically finished my race.

Race 2 - Road America - 20 laps - 2nd Place - Hot Lap of 2:08.600
The race started horribly as I went from 1st to 6th in 1 lap trying to play it safe. I did not want damage on 1st lap of a 20 lapper on Road America. I was feeling like these guys are faster than me and let them go by. Thinking to myself that there will be pits if I get faster I can pass them without having to race them. Well a lot of the field pitted early which left Cykes and myself in 1st and 2nd place putting together some nice laps for a while. We both went into the pits on Lap 12 and I came out in 5th place with one guy left to pit. As I was following Cykes still in 5th place I heard some chatter on the radio "Shit, Shit, Shit" I believe was the wording from driver Cykes. Apparently he bumped Hazardous who was having braking problems all race. I caught up and was able to grab 3rd place and when Racer finally pitted I cruised into 2nd place on lap 16. Cykes was hunting me down but I ran some of my most consistent laps in this race and was able to hold him off for 5 laps. I was pretty excited for the 2nd place finish especially after the 1st race. Here video is of the last lap which was pretty sloppy to be honest as I had my eyes on the rear view mirror way too much.
