Re: Monaco GP vs Indy 500
I hear you. Based on this video I don't think I could do Indy, could definitely handle Monaco.
The company I used to work for had an office on the circuit - sadly I never got the invite on race weekend!! I'm not bitter... Ok yes I am!!!

Re: Monaco GP vs Indy 500
I don't think Americans do "boob and ass" nearly as well as many other countries, England excluded. For that, I'd love to go to Budapest (drivers call is "booty-pest") or Spa (close to Amsterdam). I think the place to be in America would be at one of those lake Havasu Spring Break parties or the ones in Florida. But Florid has gotten so commercialized and Americans are fat. Maybe Ibiza or Octoberfest or Iceland for the party, boobs, and ass?
In NASCAR, the stands look like they are full of rednecks, F1 is a sausage fest (save for the grid girls and other assorted trophy girls) of engineer types, and IndyCar is a mix in between. I had much more fun at Road Atlanta and RIR with the fans, party wise, but the F1 fans knew every detail about the racing. And Brussels was much more beautiful than I expected. Plus there was no speed limit, like in Germany.

October keeping it real as ever! I'm actually going o Octoberfest this year - haven't been since 2004! And Ibiza I've not been for almost 20 years!!! Have good memories of both though!
But yes, Indy did look a bit college / redneck fest but who am I to judge?!
Over here there is a significant amount of woman that are into F1 but don't go to the race and you're right that trackside is a pork/beef sword haven! Monaco is a different thing all together! It's about the glamour!

Re: Monaco GP vs Indy 500
Always got to find a way to put down NASCAR huh.....
Smh
How long has it been since you have been to a NASCAR race? There is a lot of cool things going on besides beer and throwing chicken bones...
Sorry to be so defensive again... But after spending nearly 10 years behind the scenes, it is not as backwoods as you guys all like to make it out as.....

Re: Monaco GP vs Indy 500
For someone studying you sure get distracted lol.
The conclusion of the two Brits presenting the video is that both events have certain appeals which goes to show how diverse we are - which is a good thing!
I'd love to experience NASCAR, Indy 500, Monaco!!!, as well as BTCC WTCC, WRC, F1 etc again as a spectator (and driver but I'm a realist!!) because simply put I love racing and watching racing. Being prejudiced towards others preferences is not becoming, so let's get Soul Glow to sponsor all racing events, and my next gamer-tag is definitely going to be lemanjelo Smith LOL

Re: Monaco GP vs Indy 500
Oh, we gotta have a team with that shit all over the cars. Preferably in the truck series. ROFL. The car, of course, will be jet black with the "Soul Glow" scripted in curly letters.
And the driver name above the door, of course, is going to be "Willie T. Ribbs" and here is a bit of his story: "Charlotte Motor Speedway president Humpy Wheeler entered Ribbs to drive a Winston Cup car owned by Will Cronkite in the 1978 World 600 at the Charlotte track. After Ribbs skipped two practice sessions and was arrested for evading police when he drove the wrong way down a one way street, Cronkite replaced him...." This was done by a sport that prides itself of having roots of running moonshine past the police on mountain roads. After Humpy and Will fired him, he went on to win in Formula Atlantics (where many of the great IndyCar drivers came from, and test for F1). Alternatively, we could put the name Mauricia Grant on the car: "Grant, who was NASCAR's only black female official, alleges she was terminated...for complaining about her treatment, which included, she says, NASCAR officials referring to her as 'nappy headed Mo,' "Mohammed" and 'Al Qaeda' and some exposing their penises in her presence."
Diversity is not one of their strengths. I don't doubt it's come a long way, but it had a real long way to go. And all those empty seats in those huge oval spaces don't lie.
Makes me sad though, since I'm a also product of Richmond, the South, and NASCAR. I would probably not be a race fan if not for NASCAR. But you have to face certain truths sometimes. I'm not saying NASCAR fans are anything "more" or "less" [insert negative] than any other sports fan, but its management needs to be seen for what it is and certain demographics cannot be ignored. If you said the FIA was arrogant and elitist, I'd have to agree.
