Week 4 - Le Mans Old Mulsanne
I am essentially making a place holder for this. I want to give everybody notice that it might be Sniper running the race on Monday. I don't have time to go through and set up the whole race thread right now but I will tonight... I will also update standings.
I had a period of 2 weeks completely out of work during around the period of time when things were very tumultuous on the site (so that was pretty lucky) but work has come back in droves and I expect my time to be limited.. As for Monday, my little brother is buying a new car and wants me to be there so I might end up missing it. I'm going to try and wiggle free because the race is important to me and I can always see his car (which I have already test driven extensively and did his pre-purchase inspection for him as a birthday present) after the race.

Week 4 - Le Mans - Old Mulsanne - 08/26/2013
Schedule of Events
•9:00 PM EST - 2-lap Practice Stint - Assuming Sniper wants to do this.... He might not.
•9:20 PM EST - 3-lap Qualifying - (2 flying laps) - Please be here 5 minutes in advance if you want to run. At 9:15 we will assume everybody that wants to run is in the lobby, and wait a few minutes for stragglers but will not be waiting for stragglers at the 9:20 mark or further. Anyone in after that will go to the back of the grid without a chance at qualifying points. Those who don't have a clean qualifying lap of any kind get a 50% points hit for their Race 1 Finish so make sure to get a clean lap on your out lap no matter how slow you have to go! One point will be awarded to the Top 6 qualifiers.
•9:30 PM EST - Race 1 - 11 Laps - Pit Window Laps 5-6 - Order of Grid is Reverse Qualifying Order
•Approx. 10:15 PM EST - Race 2 - 4 Laps - Order of Grid is Combined Lobby Points (Qually and Race 1)
Good luck Gentlemen. After the race, you have until the next week's race is begun to post your race photo or short race night summary to gain an extra point in the standings.
Track Notes
Pit Entry - Need to use the long entry (at the end of the previous straight before the chicane) not the entry near the start/finish straight.

Re: Week 4 - Le Mans Old Mulsanne
Sniper, I have gifted you the race settings, the 4 lap with collisions off is qually, the 11 lap is race 1, and the 4 lap is race 2.
edit: um, no I fucking haven't, I can't figure out how to do that. I swear to god I've had people gift me race settings before.
Sorry man
Qually: 4 laps, no collisions, no TCS, Old Le Mans, blah blah...Random Grid Order, 5 second runoff.
Race 1: 11 laps, Reverse Lobby Points. Collisions on, the whole 9 yards. Pit window 5-6
Race 2: 4 laps, Normal lobby Points
please write down all the finishers for me thanks.

Re: Week 4 - Le Mans Old Mulsanne
There is a chance I can make the 9:30 start time but I know I can't make the qually. If I'm not around right at 9:30 don't wait on me.

Re: Week 4 - Le Mans Old Mulsanne
Thanks for running things last nite Sniper. Good job.
Well that was a BORING race. I basically saw no action for 45 mins. I saw stace on the horizon in the beginning and noticed lefty about 500-1500 feet behind me but that was it.
After 11 laps of that I could not bring myself to do the sprint....my eyes were getting heavy.
Next week is Labor day...are we on?

I lost connection on lap 4 and didn't see a point in coming back in. I may drop this series, it gets real boring just hot lapping way in the back.

Re: Week 4 - Le Mans Old Mulsanne
Qual: Felt like I over achieved here as I here only tweaked my gears for this race.
Races: I won both races race 2 was very boring. Race 1 had an interesting battle between Luongo, King, and myself. It was very good.

yes, I considered that it's essentially like a Sunday, so we'll go. If there's a bunch of people that can't do it might reconsider, let me know if you can't for some reason.ljms493 wrote:

Re: Week 4 - Le Mans Old Mulsanne
Race 1
Had fun fighting my way through to the sharp end of the grid. Then some good battles with Sniper and Stoker until I rolled the car in the Ford chicanes .
Race 2
Managed to out brake myself and tap king into a half spin, let him back past with Stroker also slipping past in the process. Spent the rest of the race chasing the Fords down to a 2nd place finish.
