Re: Peetey's Touring Car Hotlap Shootout *CLOSED*
I'm not worried about the Ford's times. Most of my runs are one first build and slight tuning adjustments "Aero , Gearbox, alignment".
I am leaning toward the Megan though. Really liking the feel. Plus, it would be nice to have something other than a Honda or V-dub in there. lol.

No matter what car I run, I'm getting consistent 2:11's. Torque steer is a bitch when you're using a wheel.

Give Owen0501 a shout. He just picked up a CSR and has it set up pretty well. Granted, he's using paddleshift with ACL but hey...

It could just be my undying hatred for all things FWD seeping in as well. I'll work on it some more tonight after the F355 race.

Hey Dawg, I found that changing the sensitivity to 540 on the FWD helps, and as Pete says I've just started using ACL and paddle shifters and it's taken a over a second per lap off my time. My lap time posted here 2:07:636 (leaderboard's not been updated) was without ACL, so I reckon if I have another go I should get the time down some a bit.

Torque steer can be tuned out via the diff n gearbox

No matter which way you go with the diff, it never completely goes away. You just can't feel it without force feedback.

Haha, no. I don't think I can go any faster then that lap. I got that around Lap 30 something, that's only because the fuel was light enough to go around the corners faster. On average, I ran about a 2:02.9 to a 2:03.3 depending on what I line I took in the essess.

Just ran a 2:07.367 with the Scirocco R Owen sent over. Very balanced ride.
I tweaked the gearing a bit and bumped up the brake pressure. I'm running with the manual clutch but still using the paddle shifters. The understeer starts creeping in after 5-6 laps, but I think I can squeeze a bit more time out of it once I tweak the balance a bit to fit my driving style.

I misread the time for the event. I thought it was 11:30 PM PST not AM. My bad on that.
