Drag Racing Series

I have been throwing this around for a couple of weeks and I have come to the conclusion that I would like to have some sort of drag racing series, tournament, something of that nature. I would love to get some feedback on this.

Run about 3 different classes

Time and day are not set at this time.

That sounds good man, my buddies and I do that some nights when we've had a bit to much. We all pick a random car that everyone drives, set a PI, tune for 10 min, then run them.

Now I'm down for this. I've brought this up before but didn't seem to get any takers.

What day would you want to do this? We can have a test night if you guys want one night this coming week or something.

Since drag racing doesn't take very long I'm open to just about any night to be honest. It'll just depend on what time it starts is all.

It shouldn't be run using the forza drag system.

You could select a track with a long straight say old le man or test track. Have one car as the start line and on at a determined finish. That way you.don't have to deal with the shitty forza system.

The forza drag system isn't all bad to be honest. I mean, it could be worst. Just takes a little time to get used to that's all.

Instead of using the system straight we could do an arm drop style. when the race starts stay at the line then have someone not racing call go and that way there is no discrepancy at the finish line. either way I am in for this. I enjoy drag racing and have some ideas if you want to hear them rowdy.

I say try both ways and then find out which is better. I know you don't have a tree on forza and reaction time really isn't that big of a factor, but to each its own I guess. Times will be more accurate if you use the system however...easier to keep track of.

True but arm drop on a drag track will allow reaction time to factor. If that doesn't work then go at a preset time, say 10 sec mark, to be like going off the tree. That way the reaction time matters.

I'm down to try it. I mean you still have 3 seconds with the forza system, its just that with the forza system launch and launch control are more of a factor than reaction time. Guess that's a better explanation than what I said earlier.

i am actually getting ready to get online. if anyone is on now, we will do some testing. we will still have the session this evening as well
