RULES AND REGULATIONS
Continental Tire Challenge Series Rules and Regulation - formatted for use in Forza 4 video game by turn 10.

GRAND SPORT AND STREET TUNER GENERAL CAR REGULATIONS

GRAND SPORT AND STREET TUNER GENERAL CAR REGULATIONS
SECTION 1 - PURPOSE
1-1 Purpose - This series is designed to encourage race competition of standard volume-produced cars and components, to demonstrate the quality and reliability of various makes and models, and to promote the performance of drivers, manufacturers and other participants.
1-2 Drivers that are found to be disruptive to the series, either in race or on the forum, can/will be subject to ban from posting for a period of 14 days. After which time, a permanent ban will be in effect.
SECTION 2 - ELIGIBILITY
2-1 Eligibility – All automobiles, chassis, bodywork and/or engines presented for competition to Forza GRAND-AM must be approved by Forza GRAND-AM and conform to the Regulations.
2-1.1 Forza GRAND-AM will determine and publish a list of specific eligible makes and models of
automobiles. Eligible cars will ordinarily be those described in manufacturer’s catalogs,
produced at a minimum rate of 1500 units per year, and available for purchase through
normal dealer outlets 30 days or more prior to competing in an Event. Exemption from
minimum production requirements must be approved by GRAND-AM. CARS can be requested to be allowed, determined by competition committee.
2-1.2 Equipment will not be considered as having been approved by reason of having passed through inspection unobserved.
2-2 Drivers that fail to show up and race for (3) consecutive races will lose their car selection. If there is a driver that is backing out of series, let officials know so that we can open up cars for new drivers. If they return after they have been removed, then they return to that selection of car.
2-2a Rule 2-2 is in effect if car locks and choices are in place due to not enough balance in the field.
SECTION 3 - CLASSES
3-2.1 Forza GRAND-AM will recognize 4 classes of eligible makes and models - Grand Sport (GS) and Street Tuner (ST). The Rolex GT and DP cars. This series recognizes the GRAND SPORT, STREET TUNER and GT series for Season 1.
3-2.1a Forza GRAND-AM will run GRAND SPORT and STREET TUNER series in Season 2 on the Realistic Racing Forum.
3-2.2 Forza GRAND-AM may at its own discretion reclassify, add or delete specific makes and models, or change specifications.
3-3 Recognition/Configuration
3-3.1 Forza GRAND-AM may use any legitimate forms, publications, original components and vehicles describing the production OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specifications of the eligible makes and models in order to verify compliance with the Regulations.
3-3.2 Forza GRAND-AM may establish specifications for each and every vehicle in the series.
3-3.3 Forza GRAND-AM will publish the required tire sizes for each eligible make and model.
3-3.4 ABS, if used, is within the rules of this series
SECTION 4 - CHASSIS/BODYWORK REGULATIONS
4-1 Drive and Steering - Simulation OR normal steering is allowed
4-2 Forza GRAND-AM reserves the right to adjust minimum weights.
4-3 Forza GRAND-AM can require specific body work on the race car chosen.
4-4 Forza GRAND-AM requires specific chassis parts as seen in SECTION 6.
SECTION 5 - MANDATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT/MODIFICATIONS
5-1 Roll Cage - All cars must be equipped with a roll cage. GS and ST cars present a variety of different scenarios when it comes to roll cage construction. Please feel free to contact Forza GRAND-AM admin for clarification.
SECTION 6 - AUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS
6-1 Brakes - Race brakes are mandatory on all cars
6-2 Shocks, Springs, Suspension - FULL SUSPENSION UPGRADES will be mandatory on all cars
6-3 All eligible turbocharged/supercharged cars must compete using the standard base production intake and exhaust system, unless stated in the car SPEC.
6-4 Ride Height - Minimum ride height is 3.5” measured anywhere on the car.
6-5 Tires and wheels will be specified sizes, based on production car in the Forza Motorsports video game. THEY ARE ALL RACE TIRES.
Gearboxes, drivetrains
6-6 Driveshaft - differentials are all Race upgrades
6-7 GRAND-AM will specify any gear ratios for final drive. ONLY the sport upgraded transmission is eligible.
6-7a Rolex GT cars will run with a full race transmission.
6-8 The clutch may be replaced with an upgraded clutch, if the upgrade is available for your vehicle chosen.
6-9 Original flywheel may be replaced with an upgrade provided it is available for your vehicle chosen.
SECTION 7 - VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY AND NOTES
7-1 New model or vehicle eligibility requests may be made directly to Forza GRAND-AM at anytime. New approvals will not be eligible for competition until such time as Forza GRAND-AM publishes a bulletin listing any new additions.
7-2 Forza GRAND-AM will approve cars for competition based on findings that determine a cars capability to be competitive.
SECTION 8 - QUALIFYING/RACE Format
8-1 Qualifying will be held for three days until 2 hours before race time. All Qualifying times must be made with a series official, and the replays sent to competition director following. (CHANGE - Qualifying will be held on day prior to the race)
8.1a Any competitor that has changed the build of the car from the requirements will be DQ'd and suspended for a race. This is a fair competition, no cheating. TUNING is allowed, but absolutely no PI or Build changes.
8.1b Qualifying order is set by: All clean best laps are ordered, then all dirty best laps will be ordered behind the clean laps.
8.1c Qualifying is now the day before race ONLY, up until MIDNIGHT ET.
8-2 Race will be 14 to a room. If there is a short room, changes can be altered to even the rooms out, up to a full room of 16.
8-3 ROLLING START
8-4 This is racing, ONLY 1 RESTART will be given, within a specified time per track.
8-4a AS OF SEASON 2, RACE 9 - NO RESTARTS
8-5 Pit stop MANDATORY. Lap determined by track weekend
8-6 Rubbing happens in racing. Competition committee will look into all replays and decide if penalties are accessed for any gross misconduct on the track. If you INTENTIONALLY crash out or into another competitor, you can/will face suspension from series for determined time frame
8-6a All penalties will have 1 appeal if requested.
8-7 Pre racing is allowed. You will use race room. 11 AI cars in the room (S or A class) on professional level. Run total amount of laps listed on schedule. 1 second rolloff. Save replay and send to admin of series. Record time and send to Admin of series. Penalty for preracing is 60 SECONDS ADDED to your time if you pre qualify. 90 SECONDS ADDED if you do not pre qualify.
SECTION 9 - TEAM/CARS
9-1 Teams are made up of 2-3 cars and there will be a team championship.
9-2 Teams must use the same car, but the liveries can be different.
9-3 Once you choose your car, it is your car.
9-3a Car changes can be approved only ONCE and it can only be after your 1st race of the season
9-3b Car change can be approved if you are a Privateer and join a team.
9-4 Car has to have the Continental Tire Series logo on both sides and front and rear bumper. You can download one in the storefront FROM RR Harry Hogge. The Sunoco sticker AND suntrust logos can be found there too. On the wheel well area of both tires it has to have in a straight line : CTCS logo, then suntrust logo, then sunoco logo. ON BOTH SIDES, which can be found on storefront of RR Harry Hogge. The Rolex GT cars need to have the Rolex series logos in place of the CTCS logo.
9-4a Car must have number of car on both sides, the rear bumper and front (either on hood or bumper).

ADD#1 If you are not in the room with a working mic, you will be kicked and disqualified. The room will not wait for you talking in a party. Be in the room ready or you will not race.
