1st season
had the most fun ever this weekend, even though the weather was freezing. not ideal for sleeping in a tent (worse nights sleep ever) never been so cold i think the night time temp was about -4. on top of that i am full of flu but no time to worry about that it was time to go racing.
for the last 20 years i have been riding big bikes on the road and i am always one of the fastest people around but when them lights went out yesterday it really opened my eyes to just how slow i am. 3 races and i came last, last, 2nd to last, but on the up side each run i got quicker and quicker and didn't smash it up so i can try again next time.
time in the saddle is what is needed even though it is a little 4 stroke i have to try and ride it like its a two stroke and after talking with people i have to try and keep it above 10000rpm for it to be pulling at its best which is all new to me as most of the bikes i have had all work best from the low down grunt they have.
now i have to get ready for the next one

Re: 1st season
i have only just got over the cold i had which spoiled my 1st weekend, looking back i was worse than i thought i was an i only had an hours sleep all night. Think it was only the adrenalin and caffeine that got me through it. But that will do for the excuses (best save some for next time)
Oultan park next in a few couple of weeks which i don't have high hopes for, i did go for a test day there back in February but that was a disaster as i didn't even get any time on track. my rev counter broke and they wouldn't let me out with out seeing my bike at 8000rpm and then being below 101db's.
i am getting a little excited, like i said my 1st weekend was ruined with being so rough.
just hope i'm not full of excuses next time i let you know whats going on, i hope with more time in the saddle that i will be a bit quicker next time, as i can't be any slower. i must remember that i need to thrash it like its never been thrashed before

Re: 1st season
Good luck Steve we are all pulling for you buddy. Also noticed a lot of blank areas on your bike. Any possibility of a Realistic Racing decal on there lol. J/K

Re: 1st season
the rod hasn't come through i think its dropped a valve, no real way of telling what caused it. but it happened on the sighting lap of a restart after a 4 bike pile up as everyone was going off the grid.
it was a bit worrying as one of the bikes came bouncing over towards me but stopped giving me just enough room between it and the pit wall.
it might of even sucked up something it shouldn't of
