Just a quick idea for those that use low-angle views when driving
Here's a tip or thought that a lot of people will already be using but maybe somebody out there can get something from it.
A lot of people use the behind the car view and one advantage is being able to easily see beyond the person in front of you.
However this is a bad move in my opinion because what you're really seeing all the time is what the back end of the car is doing and that is a lot of times false feedback that hurts your sense of control. Just an opinion.
If you use the in-car view or hood view or another low-angle view of the action and you're following somebody closely down the straight, sometimes it's wise to go off the line in the middle of the straight and get a view of where the corner is then pop back onto the line. Whether you use the braking line or not, it can give you more confidence about when you'll need to brake. I know for me personally using the in-car view, I usually cannot see anything unless I do this and therefore I have to follow way further back.
It has a couple benefits, one you get to see where the corner is, and another, sometimes it puts doubt in someone's mind like "Is he going to try something dumb here?" and of course you're not, but they don't always know that.
I like to do the opposite when somebody is driving a defensive line, I don't draft them but if I can I pull up beside them on the outside, again I have a better view of the corner and if they get too complacent I can drive around the outside or just cut their angle off a little bit and sometimes they make a mistake.
Cheers...

I will try and use this. I'm not the most steady driver in traffic as you can probably tell.

thing is, giving yourself some room laterally doesn't really hurt because even if you're not exactly on the line, you still know the braking area better and can actually follow closer, cancelling out the fact that you're not quite on the line.Bondzai wrote:I will try and use this.
