Yeah, i was really excited for shift 2, they had drivers from the GT1 championship helping aswell. Turned out the game was unplayable with a controller, and pretty suspect even with a wheel.

This game sounds great. I can't wait for it. I will be purchasing Day 1, so regardless of reviews and news, I will be able to update anyone hesitating. I love the idea of the GPS tagging. I am reading that as you will actually play on the track condition of the real track at that exact moment?

They did that in one of the Tiger Woods games. The Florida courses were unplayable during the winter. After seeing the weather in Horizon II I hope to never see it in another driving game again.

I hope it's a toggled feature. I would end up night racing all the time if not.

You'd be fine as long as they had some tracks from Japan or Australia.

Project CARS achievement list (may contain spoilers)

I don't want to give too much away, BUT, I notice an achievement called "A Day in the Life" which states, "Completed a 24 hour race using only realtime progression (and why not stream it?!)"

I am not sure if realtime progression means to actually race 24-hours straight, or if you can pause the race and return to it later. Either way, this one is scary. Most of the others seem a bit more reasonsable. Reading the brief, it sounds like the achievements are based around single player and multiplayer, fun and skills, and some randoms thrown in. I like the idea that some are based on learning skills. There is one to finish 3 laps in a row with laps times off by less than .10.

that last one you mentioned is a good one because its not terrible hard to do once youve actually practiced. i remember gt5 had a bronze trophy for beating 2nd place by .001 what a joke. i havent done that in forza in the 7 years ive been playing. ive done .1 .010 but never exactly .001 sooo yeah. Anyways. I heard rumors there was a way to swap drivers during a race, ie, you pit and on pit in your toggle control over from yourself to someone else on your team. But that was for PC way back. if that was a feature ill cream.

That would be an amazing feature. Would also be great if they had it where you could jump back in if your teammate drops their connection as well. Would suck to go 20 hours to lose connection like we see in Forza. I would love that. I'm only now starting to appreciate long races. I enjoy it much better when I have people around me, but it's still fun when people are taking it seriously. I can't do more than a few laps in public races from all the corner crashers and tweens with nothing better to do than take you out.

Heard from a guy in GAME Hemel that Project cars has been delayed AGAIN, apparently it's now being released "Mid-May"

I hate the delays, BUT, if it means they will actually have a working game, I am willing to wait vs. having a broken Day One release like most games these days. I am hoping it's for that reason as I will be entirely disappointed if they release a steaming pile. I know they want to make a name for themselves, and when you're going up against Forza and GT, they have some large shoes to fill. For a moment there I was going to say they want to come out swinging and be superior to GRiD, NFS Shift, and whatever else is out there... but really, Jimmie Johnson's Anything With An Engine is probably better than most of those.

The game has a space on the storefront now. No details, just 20 pics and a follow button.

Project cars has just been given a UK release date of 15th May, Which just happens to be my birthday

Hopefully that means you will have a great birthday. If it gets delayed again, we know who's fault it is...
