Tuning Workshop? Looking for a teacher.
I know there are a lot of people out here who are good at tuning. I am not one of them. I was wondering if someone out there might be willing to give me a crash course to give me some basics. I am having fun with the Blancpain series in my Ferrari, but would like to be able to take a car and make it a bit more competitive than running 4-5 seconds off of the leaders times. I look at that list of features and appreciate the ability to customize, but it might as well be Arabic to me. Not only tuning itself, but understanding what is and is not worth adding to the car. I was always one of those people who threw everything at the car and called it an upgrade.
I don't know if anyone else would be interested in a workshop idea, but I could care less if it's a group thing or individual, I just need some help.

I'm down man. I was gonna post the same idea a couple months ago. I'll help you with the 458. I'm not the best tuner in the world either but I know some good stuff. I've been pretty busy these last few months but I should be back racing daily soon. I will have time at the end of the week or weekend if that works for you? I can send u a message with a better time frame towards the end of the week.

I am open to help anyone who needs help as well, granted I am only alright at tuning, but when it comes to certain manufacturers I can make some magic happen.

Re: Tuning Workshop? Looking for a teacher.
Thanks for the response. I am around most nights in the 10-10:30 EST range, but if I know ahead of time, I'll just tell the wifey to beat it. Wednesdays are typically good any time though. I just want to start understanding a bit better. This was WAY more apparent when I tried to go for the drifting achievement on Long Beach. My Ferrari is at least decent, but that's mostly from my brother shaking it down a bit to give me a decent base to go off of. Sky does need help... he had trouble catching and passing me in the Blancpain race at Yas. That should never happen!
I know there are people out there who will help out making a tune, but I really want to be able to do it on my own, so a hands on approach will work best for me there. Online guides and videos don't seem to be much help from what I can find.

I'll be on tonight around 9pm or so.
Sky, I need to build my Maserati for this week if you would like to work together on it before Retom jumps on.

I didn't get home until almost midnight last night. I'll keep an eye out for you guys as I will hopefully be on tonight and this weekend. If it doesn't work, I'll try to schedule an actual day that works.

I can get on tonight. I wont say im the best tuner around either, but i think im a better tuner than driver and thats what gets me rolling so quick on here. I'd be happy to show you some different styles of tunes, and the other basics.

Thanks Sainted. Let me know if you have a chance when it's finished. I would still like to talk to you when we're both on and have some time just to learn a bit more about it. I really appreciate any help you give. PS - my brother and I will be running a team in the GT4 series. I have to post on the other forum still. I did just sign up.
