Classic LeMans Series test night 9pm EST 12/2/11

No more than 2 racers per car, please!

Sunset Full Reverse (to simulate Daytona) 5 laps
Sebring Full 5 laps
Old LeMans 5 laps

Damage: Simulation

Car modification requirements: Drag tires and roll cage mandatory; no engine swaps, no drivetrain swaps, no aspiration conversions, sport transmission allowed (allows change of rear gear only).

Starting order:
First Race - Random w/ 10 seconds between class starts
Remainder - Reverse points w/ 1 second roll off delay and 10 seconds between class starts

Depending on interest (and racer availability), I would like to run this as an actual 3 night series on 12/9, 12/16, and 12/23 with each race being between 45-60 minutes in length.

I may change damage to Limited if it appears there will be issues with "turtling".

Drag tires are required to simulate accelerated tire wear, plus the mushy sidewalls will further simulate period specific tire performance.

Yeah, I still have both cars built for that series. I haven't really had the desire/time to get on and build a couple more cars lately to be honest lol.

We'll run those next.

I'll go with either the P4 or GT40 if that's ok.

For liveries, please keep them period accurate. It will look nicer on the replay.

I found some decent vintage decals on the storefront.

Think it looks about right, not sure they ever raced the db5. In the end i based it on the picture below.

I'd say that is good enough for what we've got.

The December pack will have the '57 Maserati 300S, so when/if we run a vintage series we'll have even more variety.

I'll be taking the GT40.

Did a couple of test runs and it's hilarious watching the tyre wear literally ticking away

It is pretty amusing.

My setup is tailored to LeMans, though i hope to have a chance to do some more tweaking before the race. I may be doing well just to make to set up the lobby on time, as I am finishing up a "High Priority" project. If I don't get it done this evening, I'll end up finishing it tomorrow, I guess.

Just got in from work and fired up the xBox. It would figure a title update was waiting for me. Any idea how long this takes? The progress bar ain't moving...
