Re: Discussion
That first turn is a bitch since I have not raced Sunset full reverse before. Any advice on how to take it well? I'm about a 1:37.54.
Do you guys set up your cars for each track? Do you do it yourselves? Or is there a shared secret database somewhere.

To be honest, the idea that a track would run a reverse with that type of turn is ridiculous, and I was surprised to see it included on the list. I was going to petition for its removal or switch to regular direction, but ran out of energy. I guess maybe the thinking was that with this track you're less likely to see a heinous accident in this direction (the first turn creates huge crashes on the pit and outside walls) but I still think the turn is lame.
I generally will not do too much tuning after initial setup and balancing. I like to run a lot of camber for flat tracks which is funny since the first two tracks fall into that category, and not as much for the tracks that have a lot more camber to the road such as Nurb. GP for instance. Then I will just do a real simple tune on the gears trying not to run out of gear at the end of a straight or to make a certain gear powerful for the track if that makes sense. Otherwise, for the purpose of not driving myself nuts, I won't sit there changing it every week.
As for advice on how to take the corner, I suggest running like 50 laps, there's not a way I could describe it to you that would help you do anything better. I will recommend that you try to keep the wheel pretty straight when coming off the apron. Get the car going as straight as you can and then only make minor adjustments if possible as you come off.

there are a few lines, my favorite is sliding up real high and cutting in sharp down low hugging the corner and setting you up for the right hander. not sure if it'll help, but you could watch leaderboard replays too.

Re: Discussion
Well, you both helped greatly. Thanks. I'm down to a 1:35.54 or such. And a could of the esses it helps me to take at slower throttle but still in 4th. The car has enough grip to handle that and the track is pretty forgiving for hitting the rumble strips.
I didn't know you could watch leader-board replays. I'll check to see if I can figure out how to do that. I sent my fastest lap to a few guys, including xman, Del, and Chelsea.
Anyone going to be on tonight for qualifying? Could sending a replay (dated of course) of six laps count too? I didn't see that mentioned in the rules though, but thought it may save some time for admin.

I will get on with you tomorrow and help you tune it up. When do you usually get on? I will help you set it up and then we can fine tune it from there. The right tune will get you another 2 seconds probably.
