3S Designs Painting Competition #1

We had mentioned when we we're putting this shop together that we would be putting some of our earnings back into realistic racing. Well here is our first 3S Designs Competition:

We are looking for a Vynal Group of this:


Thats right the logo on the opening page of this very webiste. We will only be asking for the text "Realistic Racing". The GRAND PRIZE will be 5 MILLION FORZA CREDITS!!! Yes, your reading that right.

A couple of rules:

1) No 3S Design Member is allowed to compete in the competition.

2) The Design can not use any negative space to form the letters. (If you aren't sure what that is please ask).

3) The logo must be kept to under 300 layers.

The winner will recieve 5 million credits in tern we will be asking for the logo unlocked. We would like to use this on public lobby cars for Realistic Racing recruitment in the future.

The competition will go from 7/23/2012 to 8/06/2012 at Midnight PST. That is the cut-off for the design and must be posted here before that time. If you send it at 12:01, you're entry will not be judged. The judgeing will be done by the paintshops fulltime members. The winner may also be invited into the paintshop if the original members agree upon it.

It is Steve, but I've been hearing some feel like we over charge. Now if they don't at least attempt this competition then they have nothing to complain about. As of right now your the only one to notice its here so get painting steve, it could be an easy 5 Mill lol.

Does it have to be an exact replica or can we come up with something new looking?

It needs to be an exact replica of what has been posted.

Of course you guys overcharge..... Lol, I'm just messing. I think the pricing guide is spot on with the pricing amount and time you guys put in to making the designs/logos/liveries. I have no problem of the pricing charges. Though, I do got to admit, I'm not even going to try doing this challenge, it's too complicated for my simple painting brain, lol. Now, if it just involved two simple stripes, I'll be in it in no time.

Just so everyone is aware you can post pictures here of the logo. Please indicate the number of layers as well.

Here is a hint to help you guys out.
You only need to make these letters due to repeats:
REALISTCNG

Make the I first because it is the base for the R,E,L, and T. (That is more than half of them)
G is a slight variation of the C
The A and N are unique but they use the same serifs as you already made for the I. You are only scewing rectangles to get your angles for the rest of the letter.
The S is totally unique.

The rest of the logo is made with in game fonts, using scew for the letters in the word "welcome".

It's all good but I can't enter, as I work for you. So why are we not taking orders now?

I would enter, but, I'm quite sure you don't want to see crappy logo groups in this forum, lol. And I know that wouldn't be worth 5 million credits in game. Maybe 5 credits, but that's it, lol. I really hope people start posting up pictures here.

i thought it was today the deadline at midnight? my bad i wanted to hand it in at the last second.

Having said that, if u do one of these again it would be more appealing at least to me to have a little more creative freedom, like create a new logo/banner for realistic racing.

But creating a new banner would not be in the realm of the paint shop, that falls under the owners rights. Don't tell me, you went off on one and now have to withdraw the rant eh sniper?

What are you talking about chelsea? This competition is to replicate that banner as a vynal group. Where does it say we want to create a new banner? You gotta get some better reading glasses m8. Also regardless of me taking it down or not I'm still disappointed that only one person is at least trying or at least tried. I have mentioned it to about 3-4 people who aren't painters and said that if they at least tried I'd give them something. Still nothing, thats whats made me go off.

I answered both your an Luongos comments it was him made the comment about a new design. Everyone still thinks that it's only the comp winner that gets a reward for their efforts thats why no one entered
