Re: F1 Discussion, general
You should always run the McLaren or RedBull as it closest simulates "equal" on line play when you are in quick race. I never do time trial, as it's not an accurate indication of what you will get in a lap (although Bronn will tell you about a few redeeming qualities). Once you get in your McLaren ina quick race, run 1a short qualy, repeat as necessary to get competitive with your teammate, preferably top of the charts. Then run the race, mostly dry, some wet. With Dynamic weather, as you saw, you never know.
When we are all in a lobby together, the cars should all feel like the McLaren in every respect (although note: those of you who are brave enough to run cockpit view will not see the green drs button illuminate, but its active on qualy when you pres it.) My time is still stuck around 1:39.567 in Malaysia.
Hopefully bronn will be here tonight to lead us in a slow lap around the track and point out the brake markers, driving line, and how to approach any given series of corners. Thnaks Bronn!

October, in cockpit view, which I run, the DRS indicator is the green light on the wheel - if you're in the DRS zone and within 1 second of another car the green light turns on. When you're using DRS the green light will flash. In Qually the green light is always on.
I'll try to stay up past two - depends how well the Barcardi Oakheart is going down LOL.

Good little session with Chelsea. Some work to do but lap times coming down steadily! Race time I'm running consistently in the low 1:42's. time trial low 1:41's - car feels at the limit of my capability! still not tried the McLaren!

Re: F1 Discussion, general
Sorry guys. I got stuck with the in-laws. Owen, I'm glad you were able to get some laps in with Chelsea. Those times will keep coming down, trust me. I get frustrated and hit plateaus in F1 all the time, but invariable find a new way to take a corner or approach a setup. Watching real life and video hot-laps from reliable drivers has helped a bunch. Martin Brundle also gives a brief explanation of how to drive each track if you hit the toggle ("Y) button in Time Attack while your cursor is highlighting that track.

Re: F1 Discussion, general
You are quickly passing me with your consistent lap times Owen. Once you and Chelsea get the hang of this new game, you will be up top, I'm sure. I'll reclaim my title of "trying to stay out of last place" with glee.
Great too see the new drivers! I have set up the new team - Sauber. Now we only have eight stupid A.I. to deal with. I say, once we get twelve drivers, we turn the A.I. off. What do you all think?
Owen, I got on about 10pm your time today but didn't see anyone else, so I practiced Malaysia some more. Still around 1:40ish. It's a hard track for me. Luckily my temmate has it down. (I'll try to be on again tonight about 11:30 my time).
My experience is that the green button (your only DRS indicator in cockpit mode, which I run) is small and on the wheel. In ON-LINE qualifying it's never illuminated but does activate (as you can tell by looking at your rear wing). In "Quick Race" mode or "Career" mode, it's always green in qualifying, then when you activate it, it flashes on and off. Hard to see sometimes. In the race, it's rarely on, but does flash when it's used.

Re: F1 Discussion, general
October, I'm sure we'll have some close racing - my pace is ok (and Chelsea is matching me now) my problem is I'm prone to silly mistakes. 5 to 10 lap race is fine, anything longer and I lose concentration (normally because my wife comes in and starts talking to me about something really stupid!!!).
In a race my DRS seldom lights up too, which means we're hardly ever close enough to the car in front to use it LOL.

Yep!! Same here. Including the wife. Good thing it stays lit during "quick race" qualy. And you can always do a quick check by hitting the "a" button real fast to see if the wing is open.

Putting a feeler out there....
So the Bahrain GP is on the 28th due to Nein Shiza being on the actual race date (21st April). Would it be possible to run this race a little later than normal (say - 10.30pm GMT) as my flight in from Paris arrives at 18:50 GMT and I will need to help pick up and settle the kids before getting on line? I would be in contact and you can start without me if my flight is delayed...
I understand if not, but as per the first line, just putting a feeler out there...

I don't have a problem with the move, but I'm not sure how others feel. Here in the States, we are still afternoon, so it probably would not be a problem for most, except those who live in Europe. We could take a poll.

That sucks. Always like a fair fight. Hope the 50 that says you will be there is right. Luongo and Bronn need competition and the rest of us DON'T need A.I.
