Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
It's running itself due to the great crowd we have been lucky enough to assemble. I'm enjoying myself immensely. I even got a new HD wide angle camera with which to better tape the races. (Still only from my car, unfortunately.)

Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
I ran my usual career mode race last night in the Force India. Came in 12th, I think, against professional A.I., which, for me, is a good sign. Still not a strong track for me. Somewhere in the middle.
I'll do several quick race qualy sessions and maybe a couple of races tonight and report back. If someone has posted a faster TT time, I'll try to beat it. If anyone wants to jump on line an hour or so after Ferrari Challenge race is over, to practice some F1 on-line, that would be great.

Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
After being so far behind i did all that hard work, caught up and overtook October and Stroker just to spin out on the penultimate and final lap to hand back the places! Gutted! But enjoyed the battles with you both.
By the way Sniper, I know you all heard my wife - she was the cause of me losing my front wing so I have sympathy with you and your girlfriend incident.
Great race though and fantastic drive by Bronn.
I really hope I can make Bahrain guys

Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
Great race both at the top and at the bottom. It's great to see we are sort of bunched in two skill levels (but some of you are improving very quickly) and it's nice that sniper has some competition. I enjoyed the battles with Stroker and Owen very much. You guys are very clean.
And Owen, with my time penalty, you finished ahead of me. Unfortunately, my new HD camera didn't record most of the race (I need to look into this), and that means I have no way of knowing who finished where and fastest lap times, unless you guys can supply them.
Here is my recollection:
1. Bronn
2. Sniper
3. Luongo
4. Either Stroker or Owen, but I think Owen.
5. Stroker or Owen
6. October
7. Rox
8. Harry (DNS)
9. Chelsea (DNS)
10. Kizza (DNS)
Can you guys help me out with fastest lap times and who finished 4 & 5?
I think qualifying order was:
1. Sniper
2. Luongo
3. Bronn
4. Owen
5. October
6. Stroker
7. Rox
If that's wrong, please let me know. I'll put up the video that I have (about 1/2 hour from the start of qualy) ASAP.
Thanks again for a great race. Harry, Chelsea, Kizza...we missed you all. Hope to see you in a week. And it was DRY! finally.

Sorry I didn't make it. Somewhat miss-guidedly thought the race started earlier. I'll have to let you know 2/3 days in advance of each race if I can make it or not.

Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
No problem. I'm not a big "rules and regulations" guy (as I tried to keep this one simple), but I do appreciate the gesture. Now your teammate, he missed too. Unfortunately, you guys got the double whammy in that respect. But it IS a long season. Plenty of time for a comeback, especially with your ability, and Kizza's.

I didn't know he was not going to make it. I may well miss more than I make. Work schedule is realy playing havoc with my gaming.

Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
Sorry Harry. Your teammate did pretty well. Red Bull is far from being out of contention.
I was even a little late getting to the game myself (sorry Owen). I'm probably going to resign from the other league if they keep starting so late.
Chels: Just a reminder to you and all, that you can "hire" a driver for your team to race in your stead for the team. He does not get driver points, but does get Constructor points. Comes in handy since you can win F1 2013 that way too. (Or just for bragging purposes).

Hey October - I will check but I'm pretty sure that my gravel trip on the final lap meant I was passed by you both so it will be Stroker in 4th
Qualies is the correct order.
My fastest race lap was 1.39.5 - that was the lap I closed the 7 second gap on you

Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
Yes, you did! I was like, where the f*ck did HE come from? Good driving. But you definitely finished 5th because of my 20 sec. penalty. Thanks for the update on the standings.
Stroker, or anyone else, is this your recollection?
I'll post fast laps if enough folks can remember them. I think mine was around 1:40.43.

Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
Yep, I was right
In order of finish:
4th Stroker - 47:51:946
5th Owen - 47:52:212
6th October - 47:55:825
Again, very close! I need to cut out these silly mistakes which is damaging my tires and costing Mercedes constructor points!! We should have easily had a 3rd and 4th as I was so far ahead of ya'll with 2 laps to go
At least I've not picked up a penalty for the past 2 races as that would have cost us even more points!!

Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
I think you are really exemplary. First, you started the whole idea. Your thread involvement kept it going and I sort of latched on. Second, for a guy who has not played in a while, the improvement is quite noticeable. I wish I could improve that fast. You push hard, you make silly mistakes. I tend to not push hard enough but am consistent, Two different styles, but yours is clearly faster these days if you get the "offs" corrected. Third, we suddenly got a ringer back (Bronn). I warned you. He's fast and clean. A great teammate, as would be any of you. He's going to steal some spots from us mid-packers. Owen, our finishes are key because your teammate is fast too. Should be interesting.
Looks as if the standings are up to date. On to Bahrain.

Re: Race 3 - SHANGHAI, CHINA (WITH RESULTS)
Kind words - thanks, but just being part of the great community we have here.
I know what you mean about pushing too hard. I had such a nice cushion that I could have just coasted around the last two laps, but no, I was unnecessarily pushing for faster lap times!
Too be honest I seem to have lost my race craft, but I'm going to change my style and look after the tyres and bring it home as incident free as possible from now on (or at least try!).
Off Topic:
I also decided last night that I'm going to brush off the dust on my Forza disk too LOL! and will be getting GRID2 on Xbox!- I used to play the series from TOCA onwards (showing my age) on PC with the old MS SideWinder FF Wheel (good old days).
