I love that card man. What I was told to look for in graphics cards is to make sure that it is a gddr5 and it is 192 or 256 bit. It has those in the specifications but honestly have no clue what significance they are. Which I had one of my friends walk me through buying and putting the computer together.

Re: iRacing General Discussion
Considering all the gaming I do is either racing or poker, I've thought about that option instead of the expense of the X-one. Either way it will be a bit for me. A co-worker showed me a couple years ago and the entire I-racing setup looks pretty good to me, I forget though - what screen display options do you get? I race looking over my hood and dont use the rearview mirror as it's distracting as hell.

Iracing is cockpit view only. I never used to race cockpit until then but I really got used to it quick.

I just had that exact same card. Went a bit mental and bought this whilst it was on offer

That looks like a freaking good card. I like Asus products too. I have an Asus motherboard.

I always wanted to paint for people on iRacing. Much easier than Forza. 3S Designs re-opening Shane?

If that is compatible, I think it will work fine. You may not be able to run iracing on max settings at 60+ frames, but at lower settings it should run fine.

The goal for me is to try it out.
My current GPU is integrated and fails to load so I can't even see the game. If after that GPU upgrade and the 3 month trial it turns out that I like it, then I will look to invest more.

This was my very first B class race. There were about 15 people in it. Ended up finishing 7th.

To clarify, I am signed up. Sent Brad Lawson an FR. It goes to the track for in test but then hangs up.

So when you click test it tries to load the track and freezes?

Not sure what the deal is with that. Might get on the iracing forums and ask them. They usually answer very quick on there.s0ul harv3st wrote:To clarify, I am signed up. Sent Brad Lawson an FR. It goes to the track for in test but then hangs up.

It goes to the track. When I come out of the menus to enter the car it hangs. I'm sure it's my onboard video. The FPS is like 25 before you get into the car. New card should be here tomorrow or Wednesday.Brad Lawson wrote:Not sure what the deal is with that. Might get on the iracing forums and ask them. Re: iRacing General Discussion
The fps wont get any better when in the car so that sounds like the problem.
